1. Introduction
dSociopay is committed to complying with applicable Nigerian laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure the security and privacy of our users' data and funds.
2. Not a Bank
dSociopay is a financial technology company, not a bank or a licensed deposit-taking institution. We do not hold a banking licence. Banking and payment services are provided in partnership with licensed financial institutions and partners, and customer funds are held with these regulated partners.
3. Regulatory Registrations
dSociopay operates in line with applicable Nigerian regulatory requirements, including: registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC); registration with the Special Control Unit against Money Laundering (SCUML); and compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).
4. Data Protection (NDPR)
In accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), we collect and process personal data lawfully and transparently, and give users control over their information. We implement encryption at rest and in transit, strict access controls, and continuous monitoring to safeguard data.
5. Anti–Money Laundering (SCUML)
As a business registered with the Special Control Unit against Money Laundering (SCUML), we maintain KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti–Money Laundering) procedures to detect and prevent financial crime, including identity verification and transaction monitoring.
6. Corporate Registration (CAC)
dSociopay is a duly incorporated company registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria, with RC Number RC-8856819.
